HERE IS A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT SOME OF THE PRIOR EVENTS WE HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN:
One of our objectives is to promote the arts throughout the schools in the community. These are the students that won awards for their entries in this year's contest. They are (left to right): Ina Kanaoki; (club president Hope Contreras); Molly Simon; Alex Oetzell and Suyoung Jang. Ina and Molly went on to compete at District level where Ina won 1st Place-Graduating Senior and wil receive the District Scholarship to the college of her choice. Molly also competed at District level and won 1st Place-Best of Show.

Spaghetti Dinner

In May we hosted our neighbors, the RB Fire Department at our 2nd Annual Spaghetti Dinner. The community at large gathered to have dinner, and meet and greet their neighbors and firemen. A good time was had by all, and we raised funds to be used toward the purchase of much needed updated equipment, critically needed to save lives!

Boy Scouts

We were proud to have the Scouts' annual Pinewood Derby at our clubhouse again this year. Their families were present and our members truly enjoyed their demonstration.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Annual Scholarship Luncheon
In May we awarded scholarships to three seniors of Redondo Union High School. Pictured above are L to R, Megan Calo, Samantha Chua and Lilian Ortiz, and back row are our committee members (L to R) Chin Bureker, Hope Contreras and Connie Roderick.
The students and their families were our honored guests at our luncheon on May 17th. (Lower picture)
The students were recognized for their achievements and accomplishments and their family members were also commended for the fine job they have done with their daughters.

Ice Cream Social

Our annual summer social in July was another hit! Fun for both the young and the young at heart. The Boys and Girl Scouts joined us also and made the event even more special.
